SafeView

SafeView has developed next-generation imaging technology for Homeland Security applications, with a wave radar technology that can be tuned to detect any object, regardless of material. This technology is being adopted by airports in Israel, Iraq, Europe, Japan, etc. in configurations that generate 3-D holographic images of travelers, which reveal images of objects that may be hidden in clothing, boots and luggage.

The company raised its initial $6 million from InVision Technologies Inc, Stanford University, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and DFJ ePlanet. SafeView raised an additional $16million worth in its Series B from Paladin Capital, Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Battelle Ventures. L3 purchased the company for $104 million in 2006.
