Cardiac Pathways pioneered Real-time Position Management, with a CRM device that was able to create a three-dimensional image of the heart using ultrasound sensors mounted in an ablation catheter. Two reference catheters were also employed for detection of irregular heartbeats.

Boston Scientific acquired the venture for $115 million in 2002.
